Welcome to Syrian Revolution Heroes

For fifty-four years the Syrian people endured a legacy of bloodshed and brutality. But when the revolution began, the silence was broken by the brave voices of ordinary people who rose up against extraordinary oppression.

The heroes of the Syrian Revolution are countless. They come from every province, every background, and every generation — youth, women, children, doctors, journalists, activists, and fighters. They are those who dared to dream of freedom, who stood unarmed in the face of tanks, who treated the wounded under bombs, who filmed the truth when lies ruled the airwaves, who sang to inspire, and who fell so that others might stand.

Some held flowers. Some held cameras. Some held rifles. All held courage.

Whether through peaceful protest or armed defiance, anyone who stood against tyranny and paid the price with their life, freedom, or future deserves to be remembered — not as a number, but as a name, a face, and a light in the history of a nation still struggling for its voice.
